ADAKAH.ID — The National Political Committee of the Indonesian Labor Party has strongly condemned the United States for what it described as an illegal military attack on the territory of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, reportedly carried out on 3 January 2026 under the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump.

In an official statement, the party said the attack, which was accompanied by a unilateral claim of capturing Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, constitutes a serious violation of national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and international law.

“The military aggression carried out by the United States represents a blatant act of foreign intervention and state terrorism that cannot be justified under any circumstances,” the National Political Committee stated.

The Indonesian Labor Party also expressed full solidarity with the Venezuelan government, describing it as the legitimate and constitutional authority under President Nicolás Maduro and Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez. The party voiced support for measures taken by Venezuelan institutions to defend national sovereignty and protect the Venezuelan people from foreign aggression.

In addition, the party urged the Government of Indonesia and the broader international community to reject what it called unlawful foreign intervention in Venezuela. It called for global solidarity actions aimed at halting the aggression and promoting a peaceful resolution that respects Venezuela’s sovereignty.

The statement further encouraged political parties, trade unions, and civil society organizations worldwide to organize solidarity actions, including demonstrations in front of U.S. embassies and in public spaces.

According to the Indonesian Labor Party, the attack on Venezuela represents a broader threat to the principles of sovereignty and international law.

“An attack on one nation is an attack on all peoples who struggle for a just world free from imperialism and foreign intervention,” the statement said. (*)
